NYC Ferry Summer Schedule Begins 5/18/2026

NYC Ferry’s Summer 2026 schedule will go into effect on Monday, May 18.  See below for everything you need to know about this schedule change.

  • All routes will run on a weekend schedule on Monday, May 25 and Friday, June 19 in observance of Memorial Day and Juneteenth, respectively.
  • The Rockaway Reserve is back this summer! Starting Memorial Day Weekend, riders will be able to reserve a spot onboard certain departures going to and from Rockaway during peak weekend and holiday service. Click here for more information.

 

  • Weekday afternoon departure times on the East River route will change. Please review schedules to plan your trip.
  • On weekends, the East River route will operate as two separate routes. If your destination is not on your route, you can make a free transfer at DUMBO, Wall St/Pier 11, or East 34th Street.
    • East River A: Wall St/Pier 11 → DUMBO/Fulton Ferry → North Williamsburg → Hunters Point South → East 34th Street
    • East River B: Wall St/Pier 11 → DUMBO/Fulton Ferry → South Williamsburg → Greenpoint → East 34th Street

 

  • On weekends, the South Brooklyn route will extend to Sunset Park/BAT and Bay Ridge and will not stop at Governors Island.
    • Riders can transfer at Wall St/Pier 11 to access Governors Island via the Governors Island/Pier 11 shuttle.
    • South Brooklyn Extension: Bay Ridge → Sunset Park/BAT → Red Hook/Atlantic Basin → Atlantic Avenue/BBP Pier 6 → Wall St/Pier 11 → Corlears Hook → East 34th Street

 

  • On weekends, Governors Island will be served by the Governors Island-Pier 11 shuttle. The shuttle will operate from 10 AM to 6 PM.

 

  • On weekends, some Rockaway-Soundview trips will only operate between Wall St/Pier 11 and Rockaway. There will be departures making all stops approximately every 50 minutes between Ferry Point Park and Rockaway. For Wall St/Pier 11 and Sunset Park/BAT, there will be departures to and from Rockaway every 25 minutes on summer weekends.
    • On busy summer weekends, NYC Ferry crews will manage vessel capacity to make sure riders can board at each landing.
    • FPP to Rockaway: Ferry Point Park → Soundview → East 90th St → East 34th Street → Stuyvesant Cove → Wall St/Pier 11 → Sunset Park/BAT → Rockaway
    • Wall St/Pier 11 to Rockaway: Wall St/Pier 11 → Sunset Park/BAT → Rockaway
