SHOP SMALL GREENPOINT x NYC FERRY

April 22, 2026 NYC Ferry

The annual Shop Small Greenpoint Spring Retail Crawl is back! Shop SMALL and Win BIG from May 2 – May 10 at forty-five of the best independently-owned shops across Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Twice a year Shop Small Greenpoint hosts a retail crawl to encourage the community to shop local, discover new shops & support the shops they already love. Each crawl is made possible thanks to a group of dedicated volunteer organizers who are also Small Business owners in Greenpoint, generous local Sponsors (including NYC Ferry!), and the unwavering support and enthusiasm of local shoppers.

Here’s how to participate in the Spring Crawl:

  • Starting May 2, pick up a crawl passport at any participating shop
  • Spend $10 to get a stamp on your passport
  • Collect 3 stamps to win a limited edition Shop Small Greenpoint Tote Bag!
  • Collect 8 stamps by May 10 to enter the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a local gift bundle worth $500+! Winners are announced on May 11 via Instagram.

This season, crawl shoppers can also enjoy special weekday-only discounts at select participating shops from May 4 – May 8. More information about each discount can be found via QR code on the passport itself. Simply show your passport at checkout to snag a little savings!

Pro TipGet your 3 stamps FAST to claim a Shop Small Greenpoint Limited Edition Tote Bag – only 200 totes are up for grabs this season and they typically sell out by the end of the first weekend of the crawl!

This season, Shop Small Greenpoint is also excited to host a donation drive with Friends of McGolrick Park! Simply shop at any business with a [leaf] icon on the crawl map between May 2 and May 10 and a portion of your purchase will benefit the organization, supporting their annual events programming and park beautification efforts.

Did you know – For every dollar spent at a locally-owned business, approximately $0.70 (or more) stays in the community, compared to less than $0.40 when spent at a national chain? This happens because dollars spent locally recirculate multiple times through wages, local taxes, and support for other local businesses, while money spent at chains is more likely to be sent to a corporate headquarters outside the area. That’s exactly why participating in the Spring Crawl (and shopping local year round) is so impactful!
